Expert Circle

No transformation is understood from one discipline alone.

The Expert Circle brings together a small group of leaders, specialists, and practitioners from different sectors, around one question at a time.

Being formedThe first circle is being formed. We are bringing together a small group of leaders, specialists, and practitioners to begin the first meetings in Quebec.

One question

Why this circle exists

Everyone sees the side of a transformation that faces their own work.

The transformations that matter almost never happen inside a single discipline. They surface where several of them meet: a technical decision that turns into a governance question, a regulatory constraint that reshapes a customer journey, a practice that spreads before the organization has planned for it.

The problem is not a shortage of expertise. It is that each expertise observes the same phenomenon from one angle and describes it in its own vocabulary. What is obvious to a healthcare practitioner stays invisible to a data specialist, and the reverse holds just as well.

You do not understand a transformation by watching it longer. You understand it by changing angle.

Bringing together a small group of people who do not work in the same sectors is not about reaching consensus. It is about seeing the other sides.

Territories of inquiry

Six territories, framed as tensions rather than categories.

Each meeting starts from a specific question tied to one of these territories. They are not steps, and they are not ranked.

  • Decision and control

    Artificial intelligence and automation

What an organization agrees to delegate to a system, what it must keep deciding itself, and exactly where the line falls.

  • Governance

    Data and trust

Data grows more valuable as it circulates, and riskier at the same time. How to hold both without freezing the organization.

  • Structures and roles

    Organizational transformation

Tools change faster than the structures carrying them. What that demands of roles, teams, and the way decisions get made.

  • Expectations and journeys

    Commerce and client relationships

Expectations form outside your sector, then arrive in it anyway. How to meet them without copying mechanically.

  • Regulated settings

    Regulated industries and essential services

Healthcare, finance, public sector, industry: innovating where mistakes carry real cost and the framework is not negotiable.

  • Adoption

    Design, products and adoption

The gap between what is designed and what is actually used, and what that gap reveals about the work as it is really done.

This list evolves with the subjects the circle chooses to explore.

How a meeting works

One theme, a small group, one meeting, a shared perspective.

The principle is deliberately simple and repeats from one meeting to the next. What changes is the question asked and the people gathered to examine it.

  1. One theme

A specific, bounded question or transformation, set in advance. The format follows the subject: roundtable, working session, or closed-door discussion, depending on what the question calls for.

  2. A small group

People from different disciplines and sectors, brought together precisely because their angles do not overlap. Each contributes from experience, not from a position.

  3. One meeting

In person or hybrid, in Montreal or Quebec City to start, then elsewhere in Canada. Half a day, rarely more.

  4. A shared perspective

Everyone leaves with things learned, angles they did not have, and directions worth pursuing. Not with a report, and not with an official position of the circle.

The framework

What is settled, and what is not.

The circle is initiated by Nuevamed, a digital development agency based in Quebec. We organize the meetings, bring the participants together, and handle the logistics. We take part like everyone else, with our own angle and its limits.

The circle is a space for exchange, not a sales channel.
